About Us

Welcome to the 406 Hat Bar located on the shores of  Flathead Lake in Bigfork, MT. Jamie and Delanie are a mother-daughter team with Jamie moving to Montana at an early age, graduating from Bigfork High and raising her family in the area. Delanie was born and raised in the Flathead Valley and graduated from Montana State with her degree in nursing.

They both have a true love for Montana adventures including boat trips to Wild Horse Island, hikes into Glacier National Park, and midnight hiking into Jewel Basin. Joining the bears every summer in the huckleberry patch is a favorite pastime. We encourage you to visit them in Bigfork and start your adventure with a customized Montana hat.

We take walk in’s however appointments are encouraged for groups over 5 to ensure we have stylists available to assist you.

How our hat bar works

1. Choose your hat (western, fedora, flat brim, trucker etc.)

2. Choose your accessories (bands, feathers, cards, chains, pins, etc.)

3. Bring your hat to the bar where the customization begins. Add branding and burning to your liking.

4. Walk away with a cute hat and a fun Montana memory!

Do you take walk in’s?
Yes, please stop by and let us help you customize your Montana hat.
What if I have a large group?
We encourage groups of over 5 to call or text us beforehand to schedule an appt. This ensures that we have adequate stylists on hand. 
What sizes of hats do you have?
We have all sizes of hats for men, women and children. We can size your hat as needed.
What is your pricing?
Prices range from $30- 250 + for full hat customization. 
 
You will be charged for the hat of your choosing. Each additional accessory, along with branding and burning ranges from $5-50.
What is branding and burning?
Branding is the Montana way to establish uniqueness. Using a hot branding iron, we can burn your initials, symbols, dates, or sayings of your choice into the hat. To create that rustic and worn look, let us set fire to your hat!
Can I bring in my own hat to customize?
Not at this time.
Can I return a hat?
No, we do not accept returns on any customized hat.
